Before we opened Sweat Performance in San Diego in 2015, our first Sweat Performance was opened in Baltimore, Maryland in the winter of 2009. Baltimore is one of most racially and socioeconomically divided areas in America. We went against the expectation of our city and created a gym that became a home to all. Fitness was our #2 objective. Creating a welcoming fitness community in an otherwise divided city was objective #1. We united the rich, poor, black, white, kids, professional athletes, college students and everyone in between. Our people came to realize that most of us, regardless of background, are not so very different after all. We all became better people because everyone committed to an idea of togetherness. Through challenging workouts and open mindsets, everyone gained a more comprehensive understanding of effective exercise, health, friendship and the power of an unbreakable mindset. When we expanded to San Diego, we were adamant about re-establishing our culture on the west coast. We wanted to inspire a culture where all people are welcome.

Sweat Performance is home to anyone with a fist-sized organ beating inside of their chest. We want the dogs. We want the men, women and kids who are obsessed with earning a more fulfilling life. We want the people who yearn for the opportunities to elevate the people around them. We do not want everyone. We want the inspired. We want the elite. Elite doesn’t mean the strongest, the youngest or the brightest. Hell, you can be the weakest, oldest and stupidest SOB on the planet. We just need you to have a fire burning inside of you. In this rapidly softening world, that fire alone makes you elite. We need the people committed to earning the life they want.

Our workouts are not easy. They are extremely difficult, but our programs are specifically designed to make you a more fluid and functional human being. You will get stronger. You will move more efficiently. You will gain confidence.
